Fanny Wu

Fanny Wu has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Fanny is currently working at BEGiN as the Director of Data Science, a position they have held since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked at BEGiN as the Senior Manager of Data & Analytics Products from January 2021 to February 2023.

Before joining BEGiN, Fanny worked at HOMER in multiple roles. Fanny served as the Senior Analytics Platform Designer from April 2020 to January 2021, and as a Data PM from April 2019 to April 2020. From October 2017 to March 2019, they were a Product Manager, and from April 2017 to October 2017, they were an Associate Product Manager. Additionally, they worked as a Business Project Manager from September 2016 to April 2017, and as an Office Administrator from July 2015 to August 2016.

Prior to HOMER, Fanny worked at Caihong Productions as an Associate Producer from July 2013 to January 2016, and at Sin Rostro as a Producer and Curator from May 2011 to January 2014.

Fanny also has research experience. Fanny worked as a Research Assistant at Baruch College from August 2010 to January 2011, and as a Volunteer Research Assistant at Mount Sinai Beth Israel from March 2010 to December 2010. Additionally, they were an NSF REU Research Fellow at Baruch College from August 2009 to May 2010.

Fanny Wu completed their Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Macaulay Honors College at The City University of New York from 2006 to 2010. Prior to that, they attended Hunter College High School from 2000 to 2006. Fanny Wu has also obtained several certifications including "Communicating about Culturally Sensitive Issues" and "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences" from LinkedIn in July 2020, "Learning SQL Programming" from LinkedIn in April 2020, "Certified Scrum Product Owner" and "Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®)" from Scrum Alliance in January 2018, and "Grow with Google Challenge Scholarship" from Udacity in January 2018.
