Heather Self

Heather Self has extensive experience in accounting and bookkeeping. Heather worked as a Director of Accounting at Behavioral Health Systems starting in March 2023. Prior to that, they were an Accounting Management Consultant at Robert Half from August 2022 to March 2023. From January 2020 to August 2022, they worked as an Accounting Manager at Timberline Construction Group, LLC. Before that, Heather provided freelance accounting and bookkeeping services from August 2009 to December 2019. Heather also held positions as an Accountant & Office Manager at MBA Engineers, Inc. from July 2015 to September 2018, as a Controller & Office Manager at Greystone Foods from February 2012 to June 2015, and as a Bookkeeper/Executive Assistant at The Amandas in 2011. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as a Bookkeeper at Henry Taliaferro, Attorney.

Heather Self earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Accounting from The University of West Alabama, although the specific years of study are unknown. Heather then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Accounting from Western Governors University, completing their studies in 2023. In addition to their academic qualifications, Heather has obtained several certifications throughout their education journey. These include the WGU Accounting Certificate, the Foundations of Leadership Certificate 1 and 2 from The National Society of Leadership and Success, the WGU Strategic Thinking & Innovation Certificate, and the WGU Micro-credential in Business Essentials.
