Janina Zippel

Janina Zippel, PhD, is a Senior Scientist in Corporate Venture Capital at Beiersdorf since August 2013, where responsibilities include shaping investment strategies in Sustainability and Digital Health and overseeing venture capital investments. Previous roles involved scouting European and Israeli startups and collaborating with major industry players on innovative technologies in personal care. Zippel serves as a mentor for the Circular Biomanufacturing Challenge and is an Advisory Board Member for the Rethinking Materials Conference in London. Investment experience includes participation in multiple funds focused on CleanTech, ClimateTech, and digital health. Educationally, Zippel holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Münster and studied biology at several prestigious institutions, including the University of Oxford.
