Javad Shahidi

Javad Shahidi has a diverse work experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. Javad currently holds the role of SVP - Head of Biotech Unit at BeiGene since January 2023. Prior to that, they served as Chief Medical Officer at Centessa Pharmaceuticals from March 2022 to October 2022. Javad also held positions at Daiichi Sankyo, Inc., where they worked as Vice President, Clinical Development - Oncology from November 2019 to March 2022, and as Executive Director, Clinical Development - Oncology from May 2017 to November 2019. Javad has also worked at Eli Lilly and Company as Global Medical Leader from April 2016 to May 2017 and as Medical Director from July 2014 to March 2016. Additionally, Javad served as a Medical and Scientific Advisor - Oncology and a Medical Expert - Oncology at Bayer HealthCare from March 2014 to June 2014 and February 2012 to March 2014, respectively. Their earlier experience includes working as a Research Program Coordinator - Chronic diseases at Élisabeth Bruyère Research Institute from November 2010 to January 2012.

Javad Shahidi attended Kamal High School from 1991 to 1995, where they obtained their High School degree. Javad then pursued their medical studies at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences from 1995 to 2002, earning their MD degree. Later, from 2007 to 2008, they completed a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Research at McGill University. Javad further pursued higher education at McGill University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Experimental Medicine from 2008 to 2010.
