Rosaly Byrd Gachot has a diverse range of work experience. Rosaly is currently working as a Senior Program Associate, Climate Finance at the Climate Policy Initiative since January 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Lab Program Coordinator & Analyst for the Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance from January 2018 to January 2022. Rosaly also worked as an Author and Co-Founder at The Sustainability Co-Op from September 2013 to March 2022, where they co-authored a book and wrote articles on sustainability-related topics.
Rosaly has also worked at the UNDP World Centre for Sustainable Development (RIO+ Centre) as a Programme Associate from April 2017 to January 2018 and as a Research and Communications Associate from April 2016 to April 2017. Rosaly served as an Environmental Consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank from October 2014 to March 2016, and as a Research Associate at the UNDP World Centre for Sustainable Development (RIO+ Centre) from August 2014 to March 2015.
Furthermore, Rosaly has experience as a Field Researcher at Vital Wave Consulting in September and October 2013. Rosaly has also worked as a Research Assistant at UC San Diego School of Global Policy and Strategy (GPS) from April 2013 to June 2013, where they analyzed U.S. agricultural energy consumption data. Additionally, they interned as part of the Women Empowered Initiative/Monitoring & Evaluation Intern at Project Concern International from February 2013 to May 2013. Rosaly also had a Summer Associate position at Malk Sustainability Partners, LLC from June 2012 to January 2013.
Lastly, Rosaly worked as a Political Science Teaching Assistant and Grader at UC San Diego from September 2012 to December 2012, where they provided assistance to students and graded exams and papers for an undergraduate political science course.
Rosaly Byrd Gachot's education history begins in 2007 when they enrolled at Florida Atlantic University Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College. Rosaly pursued a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts, with a focus on International Studies, and successfully completed their studies in 2011. Following their undergraduate education, Rosaly continued their academic journey at UC San Diego, where they pursued a Master's degree in International Affairs. From 2011 to 2013, they specialized in International Environmental Policy and Latin America. In addition to their formal education, Rosaly Byrd Gachot has also obtained two additional certifications. In November 2021, they completed the "Introduction to Sustainable Finance" course offered by UN CC:Learn, and in October 2021, they completed the "REDD+Academy: Fundamentals on REDD+" course through the same institution.
