Nicole Shuman

Nicole S. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Nicole is currently employed at Bekonix as a Product Manager, where they are responsible for overseeing the development and launch of smart, connected products. Prior to this, Nicole worked at Folsom Lake College as an Adjunct Faculty member, teaching courses on microcontrollers, physical computing, and the Internet of Things. Nicole also served as an Educational Consultant, Makerspace Team Lead, and Instructional Assistant during their time at the college. Nicole has also worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at nanoHUB.org, where they optimized existing code and published a simulation tool. In the past, they worked at Best Buy as an Assistant Manager and at Hollywood Video as a Shift Supervisor.

Nicole S. completed their education in chronological order, starting with an Associate of Science degree in Mathematics from Folsom Lake College from 2016 to 2019. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of California, Davis, from 2019 to 2021. Currently, they are attending the University of Florida to obtain a Master of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering, starting in 2021 and expected to finish in 2022.
