Thomas MacHiels

Thomas Machiels has extensive work experience in various companies within the finance industry. Thomas currently holds the position of Head of Contracting & Servicing Customer Loans Services at Belfius. In this role, they support the organization in improving customer and employee satisfaction. Prior to this, they worked as a Customer Journey Expert at ING Belgium. In 2020, they worked as a Feature Designer at Belfius. Thomas also spent several years at ING, where they held the position of Business Process Manager and was involved in operational excellence initiatives. Thomas has also worked as a Business Process Manager at AG Insurance and BNP Paribas Fortis. Additionally, Thomas has experience as an Operational Excellence Manager at Ethias and as a Process Manager at BNP Paribas Fortis. Thomas began their career as a Project Officer at AG Insurance and later took on the role of Account Manager. Throughout their career, Thomas has demonstrated skills in project management, process design, and customer service.

Thomas Machiels began their education in 2000 at Hogeschool PXL, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Management with a focus on Finance and Insurance. Thomas successfully completed their degree in 2003. From 2003 to 2004, they attended Hogeschool PXL once again, this time studying Secondary Education ICT. In 2009, Thomas enrolled at HUB-EHSAL, where they pursued a degree in Business Management with a specialization that is not specified. Thomas completed their studies at HUB-EHSAL in 2012.

In terms of additional certifications, Thomas obtained their ITIL Foundation certification in August 2017 from B2B Learning. In July 2017, they also obtained the Prince2 Foundation certification from the same institution.
