Peter Schmehl

Peter Schmehl has a long and varied work history. Peter began their career in 2006 as a Design Engineer at Symmetry Fitness, where they were responsible for designing mechanical components, performing FEA validation, building and testing prototypes, and determining manufacturing methods and feasibility. In 2009, they moved to SJS Consulting and served as a Design Engineer, developing novel solutions to complex problems for a variety of clients. In 2011, Peter joined MakerBot® as a Senior Mechanical Engineer - R&D. In 2014, they became Cofounder and Hardware Lead at Plaidworks. In 2018, they returned to Bellwether Coffee as a Mechanical Engineer and also began working at Holo, Inc. as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. As of 2020, Peter is Director of R&D and Staff Mechanical Engineer at Bellwether Coffee.

Peter Schmehl holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
