Colin Gislason has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Colin is currently working at Bench Accounting as a Principal Software Engineer, a position they have held since July 2023. Colin also has experience as a Mentor at Africa Inland Mission International, where they spent a year in Uganda mentoring university students and teaching computer science and engineering concepts. Additionally, they worked independently as an iPhone Developer from September 2008 to April 2013.

Their earliest work experience dates back to the Public Health Agency of Canada, specifically the CNPHI. Here, they worked as a Software Developer, building and maintaining web applications for disease surveillance, intelligence exchange, and research. Colin initiated cross-domain initiatives and introduced AJAX for a better user experience.

Colin Gislason obtained a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Manitoba, completing their studies from 2001 to 2005. In April 2019, they also obtained a Slack Developer Certification from Slack.
