Karly Gula

Karly Gula has extensive experience in data science and analytics. Karly is currently the Head of Product Analytics and Data Science at Benchling since October 2022. Prior to that, they were a Member at Chief starting in September 2022. From June 2021 to October 2022, Karly served as the Vice President of Data Science and Health Economics at Transcarent, where they successfully built a team of data scientists and developed an ML tech stack. Before Transcarent, they worked as the Director of Analytics and Business Intelligence at Collective Health from January 2020 to June 2021. Karly also has experience running their own analytics consulting firm, Awaken Data, where they handled various client projects and utilized advanced quantitative techniques. Karly began their career as an Economic Consultant at Analysis Group in 2012. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Data Analyst at Bridgewater Associates and an Economist at Global Financial Integrity. Karly started their career as a Legislative Intern for U.S. Senator Charles Schumer in 2009.

Karly Gula holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics-Political Science from Columbia University. Karly also has a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Economics from the University of Southern California. In addition to their academic qualifications, they have obtained certifications in Machine Learning from Stanford University, as well as in Visual Analytics and Tableau from Coursera Course Certificates.
