Mike Niekerk

Mike Niekerk has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Mike is currently serving as the Head of Sales Central Europe at Benchling, leading the sales efforts in the region. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Sales Manager - Mid Market EMEA at Benchling, where they contributed to the development and implementation of software solutions in the biotech industry. Mike also worked as an Advisor at Pangea, providing their expertise in sales and business development.

Before their tenure at Benchling and Pangea, Mike held various roles at different companies. Mike worked as a Global Account Manager at Medidata Solutions, where they focused on driving adoption of cloud-based clinical development solutions in leading pharmaceutical companies in Switzerland. Earlier in their career, they served as a Global Software Sales Executive for Life Sciences & Process Manufacturing at Pegasystems AG, building strategic customer relationships and helping organizations transform for the digital enterprise.

Prior to Pegasystems, Mike worked as a Senior Account Executive at Gartner Switzerland, where they managed key accounts in the life sciences and process manufacturing sectors. Mike also served as a Senior Account Manager at Michael Bailey Associates Switzerland, leading the largest account and developing relationships with clients, including Credit Suisse.

Mike began their career as an Account Manager for the German market at Baas Plantenservice. Overall, their experience showcases their expertise in sales, account management, and business development across various industries.

Mike Niekerk completed a five-year degree program at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences from 1998 to 2003, earning an Ing. degree in Technical Business Engineering.
