Allison Hellmers has had a variety of work experience since 2008. Allison began as a Sales Clerk at Ponseti's Shoes, followed by Office Assistant at Koppel Dermatology in 2011. In 2012, they took on two roles, Student Liaison for Dance at Washington University Performing Arts Department and Backstage Technical Assistant at Edison Theatre at Washington University. In 2013, they became a Sales Clerk at SAS Shoes. From 2014 to 2016, they worked at Epic as a Quality Assurance, and then moved on to Doctor Evidence, LLC as a Clinical Product Development Associate and Evidence Analyst. Since 2018, they have been working at BenchPrep as a Software Development Engineer in Test I, Jr. Devops Engineer, QA Engineer II, and QA Analyst. In their roles, they have written, maintained, and reviewed automated UI tests using Cucumber and Ruby, tested software development against requirements on multiple operating systems, browsers, and devices, written and maintained manual regression test cases, prioritized when new features should be developed, extracted data from medical research papers for meta-analysis, compiled lists of data that could be extracted from research documents, screened research papers for relevance to projects, fit and sold adult comfort shoes, operated cash registers, opened and closed stores, answered customer questions in person and over the phone, fit and sold children's and infants' shoes, provided excellent customer service, stocked shoes, cleaned stores, served as a contact for prospective freshmen, organized and executed end-of-year banquets, aided department staff in organizing and executing various events, set up and operated equipment, assisted performers with sets and props during rehearsals and performances, checked patients out at end of visits, scheduled appointments in person and over the phone, and communicated important information to patients, pharmacists, nurses, and doctors.

Allison Hellmers received their High School Diploma from St. Mary's Dominican High School in 2009. Allison then attended Washington University in St. Louis, graduating in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Dance and German. In 2021, they obtained a CKAD: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer certification from The Linux Foundation.
