Carlos Oliveira

Carlos Oliveira has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the field of DevOps and technology. Carlos started their career as a Senior PHP Developer at BREDI DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY LTD in 2007. Carlos later worked as a Senior System Analyst at the Para State Treasure Office and TOTVS before joining Monash University as a PHD Student in 2014. Carlos then joined InfoCentric as a DevOps Leader and subsequently worked at Alex Solutions as a DevOps Engineer. Carlos continued their journey at Monash University as a Research Fellow, specializing in FHIR and Electronic Medical Records. Carlos's most recent roles include working as a DevOps Engineer at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank and eventually becoming a Senior DevOps Engineer and DevOps Technical Lead at the same organization. Throughout their career, Carlos has gained expertise in various technologies such as Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and system quality improvement.

From 2014 to 2019, Carlos pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Software Engineering at Monash University.

Between 2011 and 2013, Carlos obtained a Master of Applied Computer Science with a specialization in Modeling and Simulation from Vale do Rio dos Sinos University.

From 2002 to 2006, Carlos completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Centro Universitário do Pará - CESUPA.

In addition to their formal education, Carlos also holds several certifications. In December 2019, they became an AWS Certified Developer - Associate (CDA). In November 2019, they achieved the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA) certification. Carlos further expanded their expertise in the field by obtaining the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification from the CNCF [Cloud Native Computing Foundation] in November 2021. Carlos also acquired various AWS certifications, including AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate (CSA) in April 2020, AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty in May 2020, and AWS Certified Security – Specialty in June 2020. Most recently, in March 2022, Carlos acquired the CKAD: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer certification from The Linux Foundation, and in September 2022, they completed the CKS: Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist certification, also from The Linux Foundation.
