Hallie Martensen

Hallie Martenson joined Benefits Data Trust as a Grant Writer in early 2021 and was quickly promoted to Development Manager. Hallie enjoys working with partners to deliver innovative solutions to close the benefits access gap, getting people the help they need when they need it.

Prior to coming to BDT, Hallie was a leader in the Philadelphia arts community, most recently serving as Managing Director of Theatre Horizon in Norristown. Prior roles include the Director of Development and Communications at Pig Iron Theatre Company, Director of Marketing and Communications for FringeArts (the producer of the Philadelphia Fringe Festival), and External Relations Associate for Solar Youth. Hallie holds a master’s degree from Villanova University in Theater and Non-Profit Management.

Hallie’s early career centered on youth development and community organizing in New Haven, Connecticut. They are also a proud AmeriCorps alum, having served with Public Allies Connecticut.
