Benevity is looking for a Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis. Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, you will be instrumental in advancing our financial planning processes, aiding decision-making, and delivering strategic insights to senior leadership. This position allows you to collaborate across various teams and contribute significantly to our company’s success.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with senior business partners to develop accurate and actionable financial plans
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and variance analyses, highlighting key performance metrics and insights for senior management
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business decision-making, including scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and long-term financial planning
  • Partner with business leaders to provide financial guidance and support on strategic initiatives, investments, and operational improvements
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency of financial reporting
  • Collaborate with accounting and other finance teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards
  • Support the development and monitoring of financial and operational Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and regularly provide performance updates to senior leadership 
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis, due diligence, M&A and projects as needed to support the needs of the business
  • Manage and develop a team of FP&A professionals, providing coaching, mentorship, and opportunities for growth

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance and/or Strategy or MBA 
  • Professional Accounting Designation or CFA; knowledge of US GAAP is a plus 
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of Business Planning (FP&A), Corporate Finance, Budgeting/Forecasting or related experience; software start-up or technology sector experience is a plus 
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling; and minimum of three (3) years (preferred) experience with financial planning software (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Anaplan)
  • Knowledge of Netsuite or other comparable accounting software 
  • Curious, naturally analytical, motivated to learn, question the status-quo, move fast… and break things 
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making
  • Knowledge of business intelligence / analytics tools such as Tableau a plus
