Manuela Salvucci

Manuela Salvucci is a highly skilled bioinformatics professional with extensive experience in the analysis of high-throughput biological datasets. Currently serving as Lead Bioinformatics Data Scientist at BenevolentAI since February 2021, Manuela has also held the position of Senior Bioinformatics Data Scientist within the same company. Prior to that, Manuela worked as a researcher at RCSI from 2013 to January 2021, focusing on the development of data pipelines and machine learning models to predict clinical outcomes in cancer patients. Manuela's academic background includes a PhD in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology from University College Dublin and a Master and Bachelor in Biomedical Engineering from Università di Pisa. Earlier research experience includes a role as a Junior Researcher at the Dipartimento di Ingegneria Nucleare Meccanica e della Produzione, where Manuela designed and evaluated dosimetric phantoms for radiodiagnostic studies.
