Daniel Kohlhase, PhD

Daniel Kohlhase is a skilled Product Development Scientist with experience at Benson Hill since February 2022, progressing from Product Development Scientist I to II. Prior to this role, Daniel spent nearly nine years at Iowa State University, focusing on plant breeding and genetics while obtaining a PhD and MSc, both in related fields. Additional experience includes internships at Beck's Hybrids, the USDA, O'Neall Brothers & Scholl, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where Daniel engaged in crop scouting and research. Daniel holds a Bachelor's degree in Crop Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
