Dr. Sam Guobadia, Professor of Economics is a top research scholar, teacher, editor and facilitator of skills training Programmes. Professor Guobadia boasts of innovative ideas in economic development, corporate governance and organizational management. He received his undergraduate and postgraduate training in Nigeria and the United States of America.

As Head of the Benson Idahosa University Consultancy Services, Professor Guobadia collaborated with several organizations and institutions to deliver cutting edge and innovative programmes. These organizations include the World Bank, British Council, Bank of Industry, the Pan African University, and EnviroFly (UK). He directed the implementation of many other programs, including packages in project management, risk management, quality management, agricultural development, enterprise skills development, creative arts skills, etc. He served as the South-South Zonal Coordinator of the widely acclaimed Grooming Enterprise Leaders programme which was sponsored by the World Bank and the Federal Government of Nigeria. He has played instrumental role in the new Federal Government’s Youth-with-Innovation programme; coordinating Edo and Delta States – receiving commendations from the National Coordinators of these programmes.
