Robert Mankowski has extensive work experience in the engineering and geospatial industries. Robert is currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Engineering Applications at Bentley Systems, a global company specializing in digital infrastructure solutions. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing the strategic plan, sales, services, and software development for the company's Digital Cities business unit. Prior to this, they held various leadership positions at Bentley Systems, including Vice President of Digital Cities and Vice President of Product Development.
In addition to their work at Bentley Systems, Mankowski is an Executive Board Member of the World Geospatial Industry Council (WGIC), a trade association representing the geospatial ecosystem. Robert uses their expertise in the geospatial and infrastructure industries to advance WGIC's mission and objectives.
Before joining Bentley Systems, Mankowski served as the Chief Technology Officer at Haestad Methods, where they were responsible for the architecture and design of the company's product line. Robert also provided guidance and mentoring to software developers, engineers, and research scientists.
Prior to their role at Haestad Methods, Mankowski worked at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power as an Assistant Engineer. Robert supervised a team of engineering and technical personnel and was involved in the design and coordination of water system construction projects. Robert also played a role in coordinating emergency repairs following the 1994 Northridge earthquake.
Robert Mankowski attended Drexel University from 1986 to 1991, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering.
