Spiro J. Pahos

Spiro J. Pahos, PhD CEng, is an experienced engineering manager specializing in offshore systems, currently employed at Bentley Systems since October 2017. Previously served as a principal naval architect and structural engineer at Global Maritime from July 2014 to July 2016, and held the position of senior asset integrity engineer at Wood from March 2013 to June 2014. Spiro's career began at ANSYS, Inc. as a senior application engineer from November 2010 to March 2013, followed by service in the Hellenic Army's Ranger Regiment from August 2009 to May 2010. Academically, Spiro holds a PhD from the University of Glasgow, focusing on reliability-based vulnerability requirements for blast-loaded marine structures, as well as an MEng from the University of Strathclyde in naval architecture and ocean engineering, and a B.Eng. from the University of West Attica.
