Sean Sheng has worked for several major companies since 2009. Sean began their career as a Software Engineer Intern at Amazon in 2009, where they developed Amazon Merchant Transport Utility (AMTU) version 2.0. In 2010, they worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Microsoft, where they created the Application Composition Framework (ACF). In 2011, they worked as a Software Engineer 2 at Microsoft, where they built the first version of Microsoft Edge Network. From 2015-2022, they worked at LinkedIn as a Senior Engineering Manager of Service Infrastructure and a Staff Software Engineer. Sean is currently the Head of Engineering at BentoML.
Sean Sheng obtained a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Waterloo between 2006 and 2011. Sean then went on to obtain four certifications from Coursera: Convolutional Neural Networks (May 2018), Structuring Machine Learning Projects (January 2018), Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization (December 2017), and Neural Networks and Deep Learning (December 2017).
