Brian Litten

Brian Litten has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the education sector. Brian began their career as a Substitute Teacher at Mt Pleasant Sacred Heart Academy in 2009, where they also worked as a Maintenance staff and Football Coach. Brian then served as a Meat Clerk at Hollywood Markets from 2008 to 2014. In 2013, they worked as a Substitute at PCMI Services - Powered by Willsub. From 2014 to 2016, Brian had roles as a Student Teacher at Scripps Middle School, a Substitute Teacher at PESG, and an Assistant Football Coach at Lake Orion High School. Brian also worked as an iEducator at Michigan Virtual University from 2015 to 2016. Brian then joined Kenwood High School as an Assistant Football Coach from 2016 to 2018. During this time, they also took on the role of a Teacher at Clarksville Montgomery County School System from 2016 to 2019, before becoming a Student Support Coordinator at the same organization from 2019 to 2020. Currently, Brian holds the position of School Principal at Benton Harbor Area Schools since May 2020.

Brian Litten holds an EDS- Specialist degree in Instructional Leadership/School Reform from Union University, which was obtained from 2018-2020. Brian also has a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Education, both obtained from Central Michigan University from 2009-2014. In addition to their degrees, Brian has obtained several certifications, including a School Administrator Certificate from the State of Michigan in June 2019, an ILL Administrator certification from the State of Tennessee in August 2019, a Professional Teaching License from the State of Tennessee in September 2018, and a Standard Teaching Certificate from the State of Michigan in June 2015.
