Johan Theil Nielsen

Johan Theil Nielsen has a diverse work experience background. Johan started as a Student Intern at Den Danske Ambassade i Zimbabwe in 2014 before moving on to a Student Worker role at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark in 2015. Johan then transitioned to a role as First Lieutenant in The Danish Army from 2020 to 2021. Following this, Johan served as the Head of Section at the Danish Energy Agency, focusing on cyber security and gas systems. Currently, Johan holds the position of Head of Section & Operations Coordinator at Beredskabsstyrelsen, where they plan and deploys on international civil protection operations in emergency situations. Throughout their career, Johan has demonstrated expertise in emergency management, security operations, and strategic planning.

Johan Theil Nielsen holds a Bachelor's degree in International/Global Studies from Roskilde University (2011-2014). Johan then pursued a Master of Science in International Relations at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) (2016-2017). Additionally, they completed military education at the Royal Danish Defence College, achieving the ranks of Sergeant (2017-2018) and First Lieutenant (2017-2019). Currently, they are working towards a Master's degree in Political Administration at Roskilde University (2021-2022).
