Derek has held positions such as Vice President - Senior Underwriter at Berkadia and Vice President | Sr Underwriter Agency at Key Bank Real Estate Capital. Derek also served as a Senior Underwriter / VP Team Leader at Walker & Dunlop / CWCapital, where they specialized in underwriting various commercial real estate assets. Additionally, Derek served as President of The Best Home Mortgage Company.

Derek Bothe completed their MBA in Real Estate from the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business from 2005 to 2006. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in PolSci/Finance from the University of Florida from 1990 to 1996.
