Irene Idicheria is an accomplished music educator and administrator with extensive experience in choral methods and music education. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Berklee College of Music since January 2023, Irene teaches Choral Methods and Materials. Additionally, since August 2018, Irene has held dual roles as Managing Director and Chief Program Officer at Boston Children's Chorus, where responsibilities include overseeing program and education operations and managing strategic planning for artistic and social education projects. Previously, Irene was an Assistant Professor at Boston Conservatory at Berklee, focusing on elementary choral methods and culturally responsive pedagogy for graduate music education students. Irene also led the music department at Lawrence Public Schools for a decade, achieving a significant expansion of school music programs. Irene's educational background includes a Master of Music Education from the University of Hartford and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Gordon College.
