Yiqin Zhao

Yiqin Zhao is an Assistant Professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology since August 2025. Prior to this role, Yiqin served as a Research Assistant at Worcester Polytechnic Institute from August 2019 to August 2025, where responsibilities included designing deep learning models for indoor AR lighting estimation and developing tools for large-scale point cloud data processing. Additional experience includes a Research Scientist Intern position at Adobe in the summer of 2024 focused on 3D content generation, a Student Researcher role at Google from May 2022 to May 2023, and a Research Intern position at Kuaishou Technology in early 2022. Yiqin Zhao holds a PhD in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, completed in December 2024, and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the same institution, obtained in January 2021.
