Louis Bidmead

Louis Bidmead currently serves as the Head of Transactional Liability for the Asia and Middle East regions at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance since August 2023. Prior to this role, Louis worked as a Senior Underwriter specializing in W&I for AIG from May 2016 to July 2023. Louis began a legal career at Clifford Chance LLP as an Associate in M&A from August 2008 to August 2011, following a trainee position. Louis also contributed to the energy and infrastructure sectors as an Associate at Herbert Smith Freehills from September 2011 to April 2015, with a specific emphasis on upstream oil and gas and a secondment to JAPEX in Tokyo. Louis holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from Durham University, completed in 2006.
