Shaka James

Shaka James currently serves as Deputy Director at the Bermuda Monetary Authority, a position held since February 2007, where responsibilities include assisting the Director in managing the supervision of various financial entities. Prior roles at the Bermuda Monetary Authority include Assistant Director, Principal, Senior Analyst, and Analyst, all focused on supervising banks and multi-sector licensed companies. Before joining the Bermuda Monetary Authority, Shaka James worked as an Investor Services Specialist at the Bank of Bermuda, part of the HSBC Group. Shaka James holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology with a minor in Business from Dalhousie University, completed between 1998 and 2004.
