Maaike Roozenburg

Maaike Roozenburg serves as the Head of Department for the Master Industrial Design program at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague since July 2017. With extensive experience in education, Maaike has held teaching roles at the Royal Academy of Art, Technical University of Delft, and Gerrit Rietveld Academie. Active in professional organizations, Maaike has been a member of the Raad van Toezicht at BNO Beroepsorganisatie Nederlandse Ontwerpers and served within the Association of Dutch Designers. As an independent design professional through Studio Maaike Roozenburg, Maaike has contributed to various design projects, including a notable tile collection inspired by the polypropylene crate. Maaike’s academic background includes art history studies at the University of Utrecht and a degree from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie.
