Sarah Newell

Sarah Newell has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Sarah currently serves as the Criminal Practice Head at Berry Law, where they specialize in personal injury, veteran disability claim appeals, and criminal defense. Prior to this role, they worked as an Attorney at the Nebraska Commission on Public Advocacy for nine years. Sarah also held the position of Deputy Public Defender at the Lancaster County Public Defender's Office for six years. Sarah has a strong legal background, having worked as a Clerk for Judge Connolly at the Nebraska Supreme Court and as a Law Clerk at the Lancaster County Public Defender's Office. In addition, they gained experience in the mental health field as a Mental Health Technician at CenterPointe. Sarah also worked as a Legislative Aide for senators Lowen Kruse, Ardyce Bohlke, and LaVon Crosby, showcasing their aptitude for legislative affairs.

Sarah Newell received their high school education at Omaha Central High School from 1993 to 1997. Sarah then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln between 1997 and 2001. Finally, Sarah attended the University of Nebraska College of Law from 2002 to 2005, where they obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
