Bertschi School
Tam Mercer is an experienced learning specialist currently at Bertschi School since January 2022, with a focus on supporting students with language-based learning differences. Prior roles include serving as a K-8 educator at Hamlin Robinson School from September 2014 to January 2021, where Tam facilitated multisensory instruction and led the 5th grade social studies curriculum. Teaching experience also encompasses positions at Green Lake Elementary School as a student teacher and at Kent Mountain View Academy as a Visual Teaching Strategies facilitator. Prior to entering education, Tam held various managerial and artistic roles, including office management at Silverstein Thomas Rice & Associates and artist positions creating naturalistic exhibits. Tam Mercer holds a Master of Arts in Education from Antioch University Seattle and a BA in Interdisciplinary Visual Art from the University of Washington.
