Alexis Rosa has a diverse work experience in the healthcare and education sectors. Alexis currently works as an Applied Health Research Coach at the University of Central Florida, where they provide guidance in health research. Previously, they shadowed at Sierra Vista Medical and served as a SHPEP Ambassador at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Alexis also worked as an AVID Tutor at the Osceola County School District and as a Health Blogger, providing health tips for pre-health majors and physicians. Additionally, they served as the UCF Social Media Director at Best Buddies International, managing the organization's social media presence. Alexis has also interned at the Conductive Education Center of Orlando and completed 40 hours of virtual shadowing through UF's Medi-Gators program. Earlier in their career, they worked as an ICU Patient Care Technician at AdventHealth and as a Medical Intern at the University of Florida.
Alexis Rosa is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Health Services/Allied Health/Health Sciences, Pre-Clinical at the University of Central Florida, which they started in 2022 and is expected to finish in 2025. Prior to that, they completed an Associate of Arts - AA degree at Valencia College from 2020 to 2022. In terms of additional certifications, Alexis has obtained various qualifications including Health Literacy for Public Health Professionals from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Identifying and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect from the Florida Department of Children and Families, and certifications related to research and healthcare provision.
