Kalene Brennan has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Kalene began their career as an Administrative Assistant at The Lowell Hotel in 2008. From there, they worked as a Public Relations Representative at Flying Kites Global in 2009. Kalene then transitioned into the role of Development Manager at AIDS Care Ocean State, where they stayed for four years. In 2013, they temporarily worked as a Leadership Gifts Coordinator at ACLU. Kalene then joined Freedom Institute as a Development and Communications Associate in 2014. In 2015, they took on the role of Development and Operations Coordinator at WhyHunger and later became the Director of Development at Nonviolence Institute. Currently, Kalene is working at Best Buddies International, where they started in 2017 as a Deputy Director of Communications + Marketing and now holds the position of Director of Marketing Communications.
Kalene Brennan obtained their BA in English and Anthropology from Salve Regina University from 2004-2008. In 2010-2013, they pursued a Certificate Program in Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design. In 2014-2015, they attended the School of Visual Arts Continuing Education for Graphic Design. Finally, in 2016-2017, they obtained a Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership Management from the Institute for Nonprofit Practice.
