Shabbir Bashar

Shabbir Bashar is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in engineering and management, currently serving as Director at Betelco in Dhaka, Bangladesh, since February 2012, where responsibilities encompass product and manufacturing process development, along with team management. Previously, Shabbir held significant roles, including Senior Principal Engineer at Western Digital, focusing on laser bonding technology, and Consultant at Voxtel, where project management and leadership in advanced optics were key responsibilities. Shabbir also served as Senior Scientist at nLight Photonics, specializing in APD technologies for defense and biomedical applications, and co-founded Group4Labs, working on wafer bonding and laser fabrication. Education includes a B.Eng (Hons) and Ph.D. in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from King's College London.
