Dale Barnard has a diverse background in the renewable energy industry. Dale has experience as the VP and Director of Systems & Analysis at Better Energy, where they oversee activities to improve systems and processes and coordinate with the asset management team. Prior to that, they were the Head of Systems & Analysis at Better Energy, responsible for ensuring operational efficiency.

Dale Barnard attended Arbroath High School from 2002 to 2008, where they completed their secondary education. After graduating from high school, Dale went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering with International Studies at the University of Strathclyde. Dale attended the university from 2010 to 2015, earning a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree. In addition to their studies at the University of Strathclyde, Dale also completed a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with Mechanics from Nanyang Technological University Singapore. This was a one-year program that they attended from 2013 to 2014.
