Sidnee King, a multimedia journalist from metro Detroit, joined the BGA in late 2020 as an investigative reporter. She focuses on conceiving, reporting, and writing stories on government accountability with a focus on equity issues.
She recently received her master's degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, where her work maintained a focus on magnifying the perspectives of underrepresented groups and highlighting the nuances of injustice based on race and class.
Most recently, she covered the disparate impact of covid-19 in majority-Black nursing homes across the country for the Washington Post.
