Jeffrey Liberty

National Vice President, Urban and Strategic Partnerships at BetterLesson

Jeffrey Liberty has a long history of work experience in the educational field. From 1999 to 2001, they were an Educational Consultant for the State of Maine. From 2001 to 2003, they were a Leadership Coach and Literacy Coach at the Center for Collaborative Education. From 2003 to 2007, they were a Boston Principal Fellow and Senior Program Coordinator at Boston Public Schools. From 2007 to 2010, they were the Founding Head of School/Lead Founder at the Boston Green Academy Horace Mann Charter School. From 2010 to 2009, they were the Principal at the Boston Public Schools: Parkway Academy of Technology and Health. From 2009 to 2014, they were the Assistant Principal at the Boston Public Schools: Boston Community Leadership Academy. From 2013 to 2014, they were the Director of ArtScience Adventures at the ArtScience Prize. From 2014 to 2017, they were the National Vice President, Urban and Strategic Partnerships and Senior Vice President, Innovation at BetterLesson. In 2017, they volunteered as a Community Representative for the Belmont Public Schools Educational Visioning Initiative. Currently, they are a Belmont School Committee Member for the Town of Belmont.

Jeffrey Liberty's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History/Secondary Education from Brandeis University, which they obtained between 1988 and 1992. Jeffrey then went on to obtain a Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) in Creative Writing from Emerson College between 2001 and 2003. In 2008, they completed a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from UMass Boston. Jeffrey also attended Boston Latin School between 1981 and 1988.
