Alex Hutchinson

Alex Hutchinson is an experienced professional with a diverse background in writing, archiving, and education. Currently serving as an Archivist and Cataloguing and Collections Specialist at Bettys & Taylors of Harrogate since September 2023, Alex also contributes as a Book Author for Bloomsbury Publishing Plc and as a Presenter and Expert Contributor for Knight Ayton Management. Recent teaching experience includes a Visiting Lecturer role at York St. John University, focusing on Creative Writing and Humanities modules. Alex's previous work includes research and writing for the Yorkshire and North East Film Archives, authorship for HarperCollins Publishers under the pen name Penny Thorpe, and various roles in historical archiving with Nestlé. Alex holds a BA (Hons) in English from York St. John University.
