Afra Ahmad

Afra Ahmad has over 20 years of work experience, starting in 1999 as a Software Engineer at rTheory. They later worked at DyrectMedia as a Software Engineer and system administrator. Afra then joined Goldstar Learning, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, where they helped start the company and built a successful software engineering enterprise. Prior to their current role, Afra worked at Fooda as a Senior Software Engineer, leading a team to overhaul the company's core technology using Ruby On Rails. They also worked at iLoan, a Springleaf brand, as a Software Engineer Manager, implementing the online experience and building a software development team. Afra then joined Movable Ink, progressing from Principal Engineer to Engineering Manager and finally Director of Engineering. Currently, they hold the position of VP of Engineering at Beyond Finance.

Afra Ahmad attended Cheltenham College in the United Kingdom from 1994 to 1996, where they completed their A-Levels in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. From 1996 to 2001, they studied Philosophy and Computer Science at the University at Buffalo, earning a Bachelor of Science degree.
