Software Developer - Data Team

Our unique visualisation platform enables next level real-time sports engagement solutions for leagues, broadcasters, brands and ultimately the consumers, allowing for never seen before sports content and new revenue streams.

To further improve scaling, handling, streaming and enhancement of this real-world tracking data, we are looking for a full-time Software Engineer/Data Scientist who wants to help us increase the momentum of our fast-growing company.

You will be responsible for developing systems that detect the timing of events and actions in tracking data, such as keeper saves, fouls and shots. Also you will be responsible for developing error detection systems for the positional tracking data. You will be creating data structures to exchange information with the systems of other teams, working together with Game Developers and the Data Scientists.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Further extend our libraries for enhancing, validating and improving sports tracking data.
  • Creating maintainable, efficient, and well documented code.
  • Communicating and sharing knowledge with your team members and the project manager.
  • Keeping yourself and your team up to date with the latest technologies.
  • Review your teammates code and give constructive feedback.
  • Work in an Agile environment.

CAPABILITIES

  • BSc or MSc in Software engineering, or an equivalent qualification with formal outcome.
  • Experienced in C# development.
  • Two years of experience in a professional environment.
  • Ability to apply domain driven design logic for translating business concepts into a technical representation.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Ability to handle large projects in version control.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Being able to work in our inspiring office in Alkmaar.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with Azure DevOps.
  • Understanding of Unity3D.
  • A strong mathematical background for solving 2D and/or 3D geometrical problems.
  • Basic knowledge about football and team sports in general.
