Ashkan Shirzadi

Ashkan Shirzadi is a Junior Geotechnical Intern at BGC Engineering Inc., having started in May 2023. Prior to this role, Ashkan served as a Foundation Engineering Teaching Assistant at the University of New Brunswick from January 2023 to April 2023. Previous experience includes positions as a Teaching Assistant for Advanced Rock Mechanics and Rock Mechanics at Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic from September 2018 to September 2020. Ashkan has also worked as a Mining Engineer at Kanikavan Shargh Engineering Company and Mobin Mining and Road Construction during the summers of 2016 and 2015, respectively. Academic qualifications include a Master of Engineering in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick (2021-2023), a Master’s degree in Drilling Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic (2017-2020), and a Bachelor’s degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the same institution (2012-2017).
