Laura Jones

Laura Jones is an experienced full stack software engineer currently employed at BGL Group since March 2022, with a prior role as a software engineer at Cambridge University Press & Assessment from August 2014 to March 2022. Laura began a career in software development focused on automated test creation using Cypress, NodeJS, and TypeScript, while also gaining extensive frontend and backend development experience with React, ExpressJS, and TypeORM. Additional roles include acting as a scrum master and a junior business partner, overseeing multiple website projects and liaising with product owners and offshore teams. Laura's early career includes experience as an analyst for the Development, Concepts and Doctrine Centre and various customer service roles, culminating in a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, Statistics, and Operational Research from Cardiff University.
