Nagarjuna Akula

Nagarjuna AKULA has a solid work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Nagarjuna currently holds the position of Head of Quality Operations and Regulatory Affairs at Bharat Biotech International Limited, where they lead a team of approximately 350 people. Nagarjuna is responsible for ensuring quality and regulatory compliance, as well as providing support for the launch of the Covid-19 vaccine and other products.

Prior to their current role, Nagarjuna worked at Sanofi for over ten years as Head of Quality Operations. During their tenure, they oversaw quality operations across multiple sites, focusing on maintaining regulatory standards and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Before joining Sanofi, Nagarjuna gained extensive experience at Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, where they served as Director of Quality and Regulatory Affairs. In this role, they managed various aspects of quality and regulatory affairs, including CGMP compliance and regulatory inspections from international authorities such as USFDA and MHRA.

Nagarjuna also has additional experience in marketing, where they served as an executive in the past.

Nagarjuna AKULA holds a Master's Degree in Science in Chemistry from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University and a Bachelor's Degree in Science in Biological Chemistry from Andhra University. Nagarjuna also obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Analytical Chemistry from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. Additionally, they have certifications in "How to Use Risk Management Principles (ICH Q9) - A Workshop With Examples" and "Setting up a Risk-Based Audit Program: What to Consider and Why?" obtained from Qualistery.
