Amit Kumar

Amit Kumar is an accomplished legal and compliance professional with extensive experience in the financial services sector. Currently serving as Head of Legal & Compliance at Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited since August 2021, Amit leads a team responsible for ensuring adherence to legal standards in a digital financial landscape. Previously, as Vice President at Srei, Amit directed corporate legal functions and litigation strategies, while at Bandhan Bank, significant contributions were made towards the successful merger with Gruh Housing Finance. Earlier roles included leadership positions in legal departments at Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited, the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, and Indian Overseas Bank, with foundational experience as an advocate in multiple courts. Amit holds an MBA in HR & Banking, a Postgraduate Degree in Mass Communication, and multiple law degrees, including an LLM in Business Law.
