Santha T I

Santha T I have extensive work experience in the field of electrical engineering. They started their career in 1992 as a Graduate Apprentice at Indian Telephone Industries. Later, they joined BHEL ISG in the same year and held various positions, including Senior Manager and Head of Electrical Business Group -1B. During their time at BHEL ISG, Santha successfully resolved challenges related to site electrical load distribution and cable routing for a 1x500MW Thermal Power Plant project. In 2020, they transitioned to BHEL PE&SD, where they served as an AGM and subsequently became the Head of Electrical and C&I. Currently, Santha is the Head of Electrical, C&I, Fire Protection Systems, and Engineering Coordination at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited. In this role, they oversee the complete engineering of electrical systems and control & instrumentation aspects, including system studies, layout engineering, HAZOP studies, and control philosophy preparation.

Santha T I completed their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from GECT, from 1986 to 1990. Prior to that, they completed their Pre Degree from St. Joseph's College, Irinjalakkuda from 1984 to 1986. In 1982 to 1983, Santha attended SCGHS Mala, where they completed their High School education.

Santha also holds a PGDFM (Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management) from the Indira Gandhi National Open University.

In terms of certifications, they obtained the Certified Supplier Assessor certification from Bureau Veritas in December 2009. Furthermore, Santha is a Chartered Engineer from the Institution of Engineers of India (IEI), Kolkata and a Fellow of The Institution of Engineers (India), both obtained in June 2020. SANTHA is also an EHS Auditor certified by DNV ISO:14001/OHSAS:18001, obtained in September 2006.
