Jake Anonson CFA

Jake Anonson, CFA, has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Starting their career as a Bank Examiner at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, they conducted examinations and performed financial analysis on institutions with assets exceeding $500M. Jake then transitioned to a role as a Financial Analyst at Commercial Federal Bank.

In 1998, Jake joined Principal Real Estate Investors as a Portfolio Analyst dedicated to a private $500M real estate equity portfolio. Jake built relationships and solicited financing for individual properties while developing excel models for performance evaluation and scenario analysis.

Moving up the ranks, Jake joined Principal Global Investors in 2001 as a Senior Relationship Manager. Despite a lack of sales infrastructure, they led the plan sponsor sales success and achieved significant sales results in real estate, fixed income, and global equity strategies. Jake continued to work with Principal Global Investors in various roles, including Portfolio Manager and Portfolio Strategist, until 2020. During this time, they drove top-performing portfolios and teams, delivered exceptional results, and established market-leading enterprise risk management infrastructure.

Between their stints with Principal Global Investors, Jake worked at Edge Asset Management, Inc. as a Portfolio Strategist, where they played a pivotal role in rebuilding and integrating the acquired asset management organization.

Prior to their current role, Jake was the Director/Principal - Market Strategist at Miles Capital, where they developed a strategic growth model for a recently acquired RIA. Jake collaborated with investment banking partnerships in evaluating acquisition candidates and tailored model solutions for institutional clients.

Currently, Jake is serving as the Vice President of Asset and Risk Management at BHE Renewables, LLC, a position they assumed in January 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Vice President of Commercial Operations from January 2021 until February 2022.

Jake Anonson CFA has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Iowa State University - Ivy College of Business. Jake also holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, both from the University of Northern Iowa. In addition to their formal education, Jake has obtained several certifications including the Alternative Investment Analyst Charter (CAIA Charter) from the CAIA Association, the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification (Passed Exam) from the IACPA Company, and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from AIMR.
