Ed Tuplin

Ed Tuplin is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in dam engineering and geotechnical consulting. Currently serving as Principal Dam Engineer at BHP since November 2021, Ed has held several roles including Lead Dam Engineer and Responsible Dam Engineer. Prior to joining BHP, Ed spent over 13 years at Knight Piesold as a Senior Project Engineer, specializing in the design and management of tailings storage facilities and associated mining infrastructure. Earlier experience includes a Senior Engineer position at CGL, where Ed focused on the redevelopment of former industrial sites impacted by legacy coal mining. Ed holds both an MSc in Engineering Geology and a BSc in Environmental Geology from the University of Leeds.
