Evan Skelsey

Evan Skelsey is a Hardware Engineer at Bía Neuroscience as of October 2024, with previous experience as a Hardware Developer at Voltera from May 2021 to October 2024 and as the Founder of Illume Labs from January 2020 to May 2021. At Illume Labs, Evan designed and tested advanced biosensing technology for wearables, developed high-power emitter driver circuits, and optimized optical sensing circuitry, achieving significant sensitivity improvements. Earlier roles include a Project Controls and Management Intern at Kinectrics, where Evan implemented software solutions for project reporting, and tutoring undergraduate students while at McMaster University. Evan holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from McMaster University, completed in 2020.
