Ryan Nadel

Ryan Nadel has over 14 years of professional experience in the technology and media industries. In 2006, they began their career as a journalist for The Jerusalem Post, where they wrote news and feature stories for the main newspaper and affiliated magazines and websites. From 2007 to 2009, they worked as an Assistant News Director for NowPublic and as a Summer Associate for the U.S. Department of Energy. In 2010, they founded 8 Leaf Digital Productions, a media and technology consulting and investment group, and also served as an Instructor at the Vancouver Film School. From 2011 to 2016, they were the Founder and Director of Biba Ventures Inc., a company that pioneered how kids interact with digital games and the physical environment. In 2016, they joined TELUS Digital as a Senior Product Owner, and then in 2017, they began working at Microsoft as a Principal Product Manager and Principal PM Manager. In 2020, they joined BrainStation as a Lead Instructor Product Management. Ryan also served as an Adjunct Faculty at the Centre for Digital Media from 2013 to 2020.

Ryan Nadel obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Yeshiva University between 2001 and 2005. Following that, they obtained a Master of Digital Media from the Centre for Digital Media between 2008 and 2010. Ryan has also obtained several certifications, including "Software Architecture and Design of Modern Large Scale Systems" from Udemy in November 2022, "The Modern Python 3 Bootcamp" from Udemy in February 2020, "The Complete Cyber Security Course" from StationX in December 2018, "Introduction To Complexity" from the Santa Fe Institute in January 2018, "Web Developer Bootcamp" from Udemy in November 2017, and "Product Owner" from the Scrum Alliance in August 2016.
