Joycelyn White Ed.s

Joycelyn White Ed.S, NCC, LPC is a dedicated professional in the field of counseling and education, currently serving as a Secondary School Counselor at Bibb County School District since July 2024. With a strong commitment to supporting students, Joycelyn assists in setting academic goals and conducts individual counseling sessions to address personal challenges. As the founder of the non-profit organization It Still Takes a Village, Joycelyn provides a supportive community for black and brown girls in the Middle Georgia area. Experience includes roles as Lead Middle-High School Counselor at Twiggs County Public Schools and LPC Supervisee at The Up Center, where Joycelyn developed clinical skills under supervision. An educator by background, Joycelyn has also served as a middle school teacher and science teacher, emphasizing a commitment to student growth and academic achievement. Educational qualifications include an Ed.S in Counselor Education from Fort Valley State University, along with an MEd in the same field and a BS in Biology from Georgia Southern University.
